Sleep is a very important aspect of health. I think by now everyone of us knows that but tend to take it for granted. We often lack sleep and take no heed of it. Lack of sleep actually can cause a lot of health issues that may not be apparent in the immediate future.
Not only do we suffer in our health, our appearance also tend to deteriorate if we continuously suffer from lack of sleep. Dandruff is a problem that comes from lack of sleep. And so are dark circles. No amount of dandruff hair shampoo and even the best eye creams would do any good. The only natural remedy is to get enough rest and sleep.
Having said that, I have also read somewhere that having too much sleep is also a problem. Apparently sleeping for 8 hours which is what is normally recommended, is a bit too much sleep for the normal adult. It was said that between 5 to 6 hours would be sufficient and most healthy.
It is a rather complicated matter having heard from so many sources on the different theories regarding our need for sleep. Whatever it is, I think we should do so in moderation. Do you agree?
