As an employee, you should always know your full benefits and rights in the place of work. Many people do not know the extent of what is rightly theirs and sometimes they tend to lose out. A friend of mine did several years ago and it wasn’t a nice experience. So if you don’t know them already, do go back to the human resource department and have someone clear them out with you, right down to the social security benefits, medical benefits for yourself and family members, insurance coverage, etc. It pays to know what you are entitled to.
