Planning to start a web presence? You would probably be shopping for a domain name as a first step to putting yourself on the world wide web. A domain name usually costs $10 a year from any site that sells domain names. Some may offer you a discount if you buy them in bulk, or if you buy a longer term of say 2 years and more, you will normally get a discount so that it works out to slightly less than $10 a year for each domain name.
As it is, $10 a year for a domain name is already rather cheap. If you are looking for even cheaper domains to purchase, here are some sources that are offering some special promotion and sales. Do hurry before the promotion runs out (it doesn’t say when the sales or discount end, so do double check should you proceed to check out with some good domain names).

Yahoo! Domains for Small Business – You can get a domain name for as cheap as $1.99 for the first year! Longer terms are also available and they still work out rather cheap compared to other domain name sellers. This would be my first point of purchase if I’m looking for a domain to buy!
Netfirm – Netfirm is having a sale as we speak, offering a domain at $5.95 a year. It comes with full control of the domain, including free privacy option to protect your identification from whois searches on your domain name.
Yours Domain – It offers a domain name at $8.89 a year. Of course, like many other sites, if you decide to sign up for other web services, you are entitled to purchase domain names for as low as $1.99 a year.
