The other day I was shopping at a hypermarket and I have a habit of using the barcode scanner whenever the prices are not clearly shown on the shelves or when the products don’t have price tags stuck on them. And it was a good thing that I did that because I roughly knew the price of the products I was going to purchase.
After I checked out, I looked through the receipt and found something amiss. I don’t remember to see such prices on 2 products that I bought. I remembered them to be less than what was rung up by the cashier. When I went to the customer service counter to double check, it was indeed true that I was overcharged. Not by a small amount too, mind you. I was overcharged by 60%!
So next time you go shopping, do note the prices of the products you are buying and most importantly, check your receipts!
