How to decorate and make a place more cozy?

by specky on November 30, 2009

I’ve just moved work stations and it’s not to a nicer one, unfortunately. So now I’m trying to make myself feel better by thinking of ways to make it more lively and cozy at the same time. It feels pretty dead and quiet and not all too positive around here. So I thought of using some family photos to put around the work table and up against the cubicle around me. That should make it more homey, wouldn’t it?

Apart from that, some flowers may help too but I don’t intend to buy fresh flowers everytime simply because it’s costly. So will plastic ones do the trick? I don’t really know.

How else can I decorate and make this place better? Any tips, anyone? As it is, this building I’m in is being surrounded by cold, steel buildings all around, so it would be nice to come in to some warm fuzzy place to work instead.

So if you have some ideas, do share!
