food and drink Where to find cheaper food and drinks

In times of rising prices and lower or stagnant salaries, it’s only wise of us to watch our spending. However, once we are used to a certain lifestyle over the years, it’s hard to make a drastic change. Food is one thing that many of us enjoy and we may even claim to live to eat. So whilst we have enjoyed good food and dining experiences and is one of our passions in life, how do we cut back?

Just look out for discounts or promotions at your favourite restaurants or eateries to save a little at each meal. Remember that a little savings here and there will help you to save a lot when you consolidate your expenses (read more on how you can save a little at a time).

A site I’ve just come across provides excellent information about promotions on food and drinks at many eateries nationwide. Hop over to Offer Station’s Dining section and you will see a stream of promotions that are on-going.

Take note though that some of the food and beverage promotions are not generic and available to all patrons. Some of these offers are only valid with certain credit card companies, so you need to be a card holder to enjoy the savings. Nevertheless, there are lots of other applicable freebies and discounts available if browse through the pages. I found some wonderul free food vouchers there!

Another way you can cut down on your food bill is to find cheaper eateries instead of the fancy cafes and restaurants. There are plenty of them around. Alternatively, cook your own meals. It is definitely a cheaper option than eating out, not to mention a lot healthier too (assuming you cook healthy meals!). You can find lots of great quick and easy to cook recipes at Easy Meal Recipes if you want fast and healthy home cooked meals.

What other ways can you think of to save on food and drinks? Dieting? Well that’s one way too, if you really need to be on a diet, that is. But do so healthily!
