Looking good and expensive doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive!

Lately I did quite a bit of shopping. I bought some branded stuff that were going on sale. My reason was not just to shop, shop, shop and satisfy my shopping impulses. I just wanted to buy something that would make me look good wearing them when I meet people. You see, I’ll be starting a new career soon, one where I would meet lots of people. The thing about meeting people is that first impressions count.

So I invested a little bit to buy a pair of good shoes and some smart work slacks. Say what you will, but you do get the difference in quality for the price that you pay for branded items. And they do last a little longer too. So I think they serve me well and hopefully will make my first impressions on others a better one. But although they are branded and expensive, I chose to buy them on sale rather than paying full price for them. That’s the value I really enjoy!

So what did I splash on? Well some business pants from one of the more established brands and a pair of good walking shoes from Christian Louboutin.

That’s all the investment I will make for now because I think they are enough to start me off with. What are your other tips to look good and make good impressions on others besides good grooming?
