How do you help your kids do early revision?

by specky on September 28, 2009

Many kids, including ourselves when we were that age, do last minute revisions. Especially so during our college years, isn’t it? When I did that, I used coffee to help me stay up the late nights just to finish up my revision. I now find that this is quite damaging. Pumping a huge amount of caffeine into the body like that is sure to hurt some day.

As such, I was thinking of ways I can help my kids in the future in avoiding last minute revisions. It has to be some values that has to be instilled in them now so that they do not want to do last minute studying like we did. Not sure how to go about that though.

All I know is that it doesn’t feel good to do last minute studying at sitting down at the exam table praying so hard that whatever we managed to cover will be on the exam and not something we might have missed. It’s a horrible feeling.

So if you have ways to start teaching your kids from young that they should be well prepared for their exams, do share with me!
