How do you know if a pair of pants will fit your waistline without having to put on the pants? Here’s a very simple method which will roughly but quite accurately determine whether or not it fits.
Just take both the ends of the waistband of the pants (it works on skirts too, ladies) and wrap it around your neck.

The picture illustrates how you need to wrap the ends of the waistband around your neck. You will find a fit if you are able to make the two ends of the pants’ waistband meeting each other. If both ends overlap each other, it means the waistband of the pants or skirt will be loose on you. On the other hand, if the two ends don’t meet, then you may have a problem wearing it as it indicates the pants or skirt to be too tight on you.
Easy, right? Now the next time you go shopping for pants or skirt, try it and see if it works for you! It works for me!

while it is true for most people…i think this will affect those with bigger hips?
especially those jeans or pants that are more figure hugging…
my 2 cents.
That’s absolutely true, Racerboi. I should’ve qualified the post with an exception. Thanks for point it out for the sake of other readers.
